Ask Dr. Orloff
Do you have any advice to help parents with teenagers?
Question: Dr. Orloff:
Do you have any advice to help parents with teenagers. After reading Second Sight I thought you could offer parents advice on how to get through these challenging years. Healthy behaviors, independence or trying to be, less aware of responsibility and self-centeredness. Do you have any suggestions?
Answer: Dear Cristina:
It's very important that parents stay grounded and heart centered to be good models for their children. Parents must walk the talk and embody strong intuition and common sense. Also it is essential to set clear boundaries with children and responsibility and call them on self-centeredness if it is an issue. Also stress the importance of service work and enlist your children in being of service and helping others early on, so that it can become a way of life.
Great question about parenting!
