Ask Dr. Orloff

When I dream of someone why do they not talk to me in my dream?

Question: Dear Dr. Orloff:

When I dream of loved ones that have passed away especially my dad, they cannot talk in my dream. Do you know why that is?
Thanks,
Sheila
Mandeville, LA

Answer: Dear Sheila:

Sometimes when loved ones who have passed on come in dreams they can communicate in different ways other than words. Be aware of any intuitions, messages or transmissions of love that come through. Interestingly, in dreams often people aren't moving their mouths and talking, but communication comes through intuitively. Notice that in your dreams. Please check out my book Guide to Intuitive Healing and read the chapter on Death As Healer and Teacher. I discuss dreams of loved ones who've passed on. Thanks for the great question.
Sweet dreams,
Judith
