Summary of Article
Highly Sensitive People (“HSPs”), who make up 20 percent of the population, are described as having hypersensitivity to external stimuli, a greater depth of cognitive processing, and high emotional reactivity. They are an amplifier of the environment around them. Highly Sensitive People need an entirely different instruction manual to flourish.
In this Psychology Today article, I share the characteristics of highly sensitive people and discuss adjustments highly sensitive people can make to sync their lives with their heightened sensory processing.
