Many of us want to try to control all of the details of our lives. We have been told from a young age that we must strive and work hard to create our own success. While we are the creators of our attitudes, there is difference between forcing and over-efforting to achieve success versus surrendering at the proper moments to achieve success. To force and push to “make things happen” can actually zap our happiness and steal our joy. This often leads to competitiveness among friends and colleagues, days filled with judgment and feelings of unworthiness. There are much easier ways to succeed in life and it begins with surrendering.
