How Intuition Can Help Us Better Understand Death and Dying
Fear of death permeates all aspects of health care in Western culture. Addressing this very real dilemma, Dr. Orloff sees death as a highly misunderstood passage in life and redefines it as a boundary that proves to be far more permeable than we think. She points out that death is not solely associated with the dissolution of the body; rather it is a creative force we can draw upon in life. With calmness and vibrant curiosity, we can learn to explore death as a healing force, as a doorway into another realm.
In the lecture, Dr. Orloff investigates the intuitive perspective on death: that death is simply a shift, not an end, and that dying need not cut the inner bonds with our loved ones. In the safe environment of Dr. Orloff's more intensive workshop, she will also lead the participants through an after-death meditation so that they may personally experience the life-affirming energy of death. With this knowledge, one can live free of the fear of death and can compassionately help loved ones pass on.
